As the hour for their siesta approached, Yann waited in the rain for the gorillas to arrive. There was no point lying in ambush to observe this sleepy male. “Another time, he came and rested his head on my foot; it was a very powerful moment and i had tears in my eyes. It was the first time a wild animal had ever trusted me on such a level.”
